It’s a groundbreaking fusion of TR heritage and modern innovation set to redefine rhythm culture.
Roland has just announced the TR-1000 Rhythm Creator, the first new addition to its legendary TR drum machine family in more than 40 years to feature true analog voices. Building on the standout sound of the TR-808 and TR-909, the TR-1000 merges analog circuitry with advanced digital engines, deep sampling tools, and a performance-focused interface designed to push rhythm culture into a new era.
Alongside 16 recreated analog circuits, the TR-1000 offers a wide spectrum of sonic possibilities powered by Roland’s Analog Circuit Behavior (ACB) models, FM percussion, virtual analog tones, and a massive PCM sample library. Integrated sampling and resampling tools, time-stretching, and non-destructive editing make it a versatile centerpiece for both production and live performance, with 64GB of storage ready for custom libraries and user content.
The performance-driven sequencer expands the classic TR workflow with expressive real-time controls, off-grid programming, and a new Morph slider for quick transformations. Tactile knobs, responsive faders, and onboard effects give artists powerful tools to sculpt grooves, while the TR-1000’s robust I/O and companion app ensure seamless integration into modern hybrid setups. Serving as more than just simply a tribute to its predecessors, the TR-1000 is a forward-looking instrument built to inspire the next generation of producers.
