Four-session program gives aspiring DJs an accessible introduction to DJ fundamentals, rekordbox, and hands-on skills using AlphaTheta/Pioneer DJ technology.
AlphaTheta and FEMME HOUSE have teamed up to launch Intro to DJing with AlphaTheta x FEMME HOUSE, a new four-session online course designed to give aspiring DJs the foundational skills and confidence needed to get behind the decks. Led by DJ, producer, and educator Gera Akate, the program covers everything from equipment and workflow fundamentals to music preparation in rekordbox, beatmatching, cue points, phrasing, transitions, effects, and managing energy throughout a set.
Built around the Pioneer DJ DDJ-FLX4 controller, the course also accommodates students using the AlphaTheta DDJ-FLX2 and demonstrates how controller-based techniques translate to club-standard setups. The curriculum is designed to provide a practical introduction to DJing, with lessons focused on organizing music, preparing tracks, building transitions, selecting music, and developing a performance workflow that can carry over to more advanced equipment.
