This past August at DJX ’21 in AC, he presented “Expanding Your Brand on Twitch: One DJ’s Story.” Like most DJs, Marquez’s gigs dried up during the pandemic. However, utilizing the global audience of Twitch, the Brooklyn-based DJ landed sponsorships with some of the industry’s biggest companies, gained opportunities to play on radio stations across the country, and interviewed some of the world’s biggest DJs with this “DJs After Dark” show on Twitch. At DJX, he told his story to a packed room, offering inspiration and solid examples as to how more DJs can benefit from the popular platform.
