The Dutch duo opens a new chapter alongside Be Yourself Music, debuting the imprint with a fresh take on one of dance music’s most recognizable classics.
After more than two decades of pushing the boundaries of electronic music, Showtek is embarking on a new venture with the launch of F_CK THE SYSTEM, a record label created in partnership with Dutch independent powerhouse Be Yourself Music. Rather than focusing on a single genre, the imprint is designed to reflect every side of the duo’s musical journey, from the hardstyle records that launched their career to festival anthems, crossover hits, and underground club releases.
Leading the label’s debut is “Ella Elle L’a,” an official collaboration with Belgian-French dance music icon Kate Ryan. The reimagined version of Ryan’s beloved hit first gained momentum after Showtek tested an early edit during a performance at Paris’ Accor Arena, where thousands of fans immediately sang along. That overwhelming response inspired the collaboration, transforming a live moment into the inaugural release for the new label.
The partnership also highlights Showtek’s long-standing connection to the European dance scene and French music culture. Alongside collabs with artists such as David Guetta and recent work with GIMS, the duo now joins forces with Kate Ryan, whose career spans 25 years and includes millions of records sold and enduring dance-pop classics. Together, they breathe new life into “Ella Elle L’a” while introducing F_CK THE SYSTEM as a creative platform where Showtek can continue releasing music without creative boundaries. The label made its official launch on July 3 with the release of “Ella Elle L’a” via F_CK THE SYSTEM and Be Yourself Music.
