This past weekend, the ASOT and Armada Music mogul transformed the outdoor Brooklyn venue into a sold-out trance music haven.
Armada Music mogul and A State of Trance originator, Armin van Buuren returned to the Big Apple for his headline event by way of Brooklyn’s Industry City. The prime outdoor venue housed a sold-out trance spectacle this past weekend featuring Armin van Buuren, along with respective support acts Laura van Dam and Sunryse. Event organizers – East Meets West (EMW Presents) transformed the daytime manufacturing complex into an open air rave after dark.
Amidst this year’s insane Electric Daisy Carnival festivities in Las Vegas, Armin van Buuren made a special stop on the east coast to treat the Trance Family proper before returning to Vegas for his EDC Vegas closing set at the kineticFIELD (main stage). Without worry, the New York City faithful came out in full force and the cool spring night enhanced an already amazing atmosphere. Opening sets from Laura van Dam and Sunryse were both energetic and emotional in their own respect. The stage was set, visual production on point, and dance enthusiasts were on the precipice of euphoria.

Commencing with his three-hour ensemble at 1:00 am, Armin van Buuren kicked off with the extended intro of “Awake,” his new artist album title track. A plethora of new renditions of nostalgic classics set the evening’s tone. Van Buuren’s vocal tracks “Shivers,” “In and Out of Love,” and “This Is What It Feels Like” closing out the show made for sing-alongs in the wee hours of the morning. Showcasing many new tunes, Armin collaborates with newcomers and legends alike. Hard-hitting “Heavy” with Joa, “She a Freak” with Skytech and (Techno Trance) bad boys – Armin b2b Adam Beyer collab “No Mercy” resonated around the historic Sunset Park blocks.
The Brooklyn hotspot offers plenty of space, superb acoustics and exudes summer vibes for hosting dance events. Venue production showcased a state-of-the-art video projection system, lights and lasers galore but kept the focus on the music. Internationally acclaimed and GRAMMY Award-nominated, Armin van Buuren is no stranger to raucous crowds dancing to his hits. More of Armin’s recent dance floor destroyers and trance favorites like the ASOT 2026 anthem “Always You” combined with Richard Durand and another brand-new uplifting “Lost In Time” brought us three hours of symphonic vibes this past Saturday night.

Die-hard trance lovers and dance fanatics stuck around for what we can only describe as a mesmerizing journey down the rabbit hole. Attendees entered a state of trance, guided by the one and only Armin van Buuren. Be sure to follow Armin around the world and catch him in Ibiza, Las Vegas, as well as gracing every major music festival stage this summer.
Keep a watchful eye on all things East Meets West has to offer this summer. Including Why Not Now? Festival featuring artists like Gorgon City and Chase & Status at Industry City, Brooklyn this weekend May 23 & 24.
