Westend’s Kick & Bass expands into a fully integrated label that gives rising producers a direct pathway from learning to releasing.
Kick & Bass – which has become the fast-growing global producer community, created by DJ/producer Westend (Tyler Morris) and Freddy Trier Christensen – has officially launched Kick & Bass Records, marking a major evolution from educational hub to full artist-development platform. What began as a lockdown experiment in teaching has become a 600-member team for emerging tech house and house music producers – offering coaching, tutorials, feedback, and now a built-in place to release polished, club-ready music.
The label was founded to solve the number one question Morris heard from members leveling up in their careers: Where do I release my music? Kick & Bass Records answers that with a unique 360° model – learn, refine, get feedback, build your brand, and release when the music is ready… and only when the music is ready. Supported by independent marketing agency CIRCA and co-brand for distribution and promo, the label will spotlight monthly singles across the broader spectrum of modern club music without being constrained to one sub-genre.
With the debut release arriving December 12, “Raw” from ALP – a former techno artist shifting into tech house with a driving, high-impact cut built for bustling dance floors. True to the label’s ethos, the track reflects Kick & Bass’ sound: punchy drums, infectious groove, and a confident, minimal-leaning energy. Morris describes it as exactly the type of record that embodies what the community pushes toward – streamlined, effective, and DJ-ready.
