The GRAMMY-nominated producer/DJ kicks off a bold new chapter with “Refuge” and “Ur Alive.”
ILLENIUM returns, and he’s setting the tone for his next musical era with the release of a two-track bundle – “Refuge” feat. Norma Jean Martine and “Ur Alive” feat. WYLDE. Available now via Republic Records, the double-release continues to build momentum following the recent success of “In My Arms” with HAYLA. And once again, Nick Miller (ILLENIUM) does a fine job at showcasing his signature fusion of melodic emotion and cinematic intensity.
“Refuge” kicks things off with a pulsing synth loop, lush keys, and an explosive vocal performance from Norma Jean Martine. The track’s message of safety and emotional shelter hits hard through the soaring chorus, “You’re my refuge, my shelter from the rain,” making it a powerful anthem for anyone seeking light in dark moments. “Ur Alive” finally gives fans the long-awaited official release of a longtime festival favorite ID. With glitchy claps, dreamy synth textures, and WYLDE’s ethereal vocals, it’s a euphoric reminder to stay present.
While the two new tracks take center stage, they simply signify the latest in a long line of triumphs for ILLENIUM. Over the past decade, he’s grown into one of the most sought-after talents in electronic music, earning three consecutive No. 1 albums on the Billboard Dance/Electronic chart, including Fallen Embers, which was nominated for a GRAMMY® and won Top Dance Album at the Billboard Music Awards. He’s also garnered multi-Platinum and Gold-certified hits and collaborations with the likes of Jon Bellion, Travis Barker, and Avril Lavigne, and historic headline shows at Allegiant Stadium and SoFi Stadium.
On the touring front, ILLENIUM is set to bring performances to top music festivals and venues across North America. He’s set to play Elements Festival in Long Pond, PA (8/8), Das Energi Festival in Salt Lake City, and ÎleSoniq in Montreal, with club shows at Zouk Las Vegas on Aug. 9 & 22. In late September, he returns to New York City for back-to-back nights at the Brooklyn Mirage on Sept. 27 & 28. While the Mirage has yet to open its doors this season, it’s possible the shows will be relocated or postponed, depending on the state of the venue.
With more new music on the horizon and a fresh partnership with Republic Records in place, ILLENIUM is poised for one of his biggest years yet with “Refuge” and “Ur Alive” leading the way.
