Powerful AIRA compact instrument with granular sound design tools, sequencing, real-time effects, a USB-C Audio/MIDI interface, and more.

Roland has expanded its AIRA Compact series with the introduction of the P-6 Creative Sampler, a portable powerhouse designed for music creators of all skill levels. This pocket-sized sampler incorporates Roland’s acclaimed sampling technology, offering sophisticated granular sound design capabilities and a robust sequencer, making it a must-have tool for DJs on the move.

The P-6 Creative Sampler is built to inspire creativity right out of the box, with intuitive controls and responsive pads that invite both beginners and professionals to start making music immediately. The device is equipped with an onboard microphone, USB-C audio/MIDI interface, and an array of versatile MFX, enabling users to perform and sample with ease, anywhere and anytime.

Sampling with the P-6 is incredibly flexible, thanks to its multiple input options including a built-in mic, analog inputs, or even a smartphone via USB-C. Once sounds are captured, users can effortlessly slice up longer samples for playback or blend different sounds using Step Sampling and resampling features. The sampler also comes packed with a variety of engaging MFX like Vinyl Simulator, DJFX Looper, and more, to enhance the creative process.

For those looking to dive deeper into sound design, the P-6 offers advanced granular sampling tools that allow users to manipulate small sound fragments into expansive auditory textures. These tools enable adjustments in sample tuning, grain shape, head position, speed, spread, and more, facilitating the creation of everything from pristine tones to warped, intricate audio landscapes.

The sequencing capabilities of the P-6 are equally impressive, supporting complex 64-step patterns with features such as motion recording, probability, micro-timing, and off-grid sequencing. The Step Loop function further enriches the performance by allowing real-time manipulation of playback, providing spontaneous improvisations and captivating effects.

Additionally, the P-6 is supported by the P-6 SampleTool software for both macOS and Windows, enhancing the user experience by allowing easy sample editing and transfer between the sampler and a computer. This software suite includes tools for cleaning up audio, normalizing levels, and creating lo-fi textures, ensuring that every sound is polished and ready for the mix.

The Roland AIRA Compact P-6 Creative Sampler is available in the U.S. now for $219.99. For more information, visit Roland.com.
