With less than 100 days left until DJX ’24, this week’s #MobileMonday spotlight shines on DJ Jay Brannan of Brannan Entertainment.
DJ LIFE caught up with Jay Brannan, founder of Brannan Entertainment to discuss all things mobile DJ. According to Brannan: “Being a Mobile DJ means that I am ready and able to do any event that comes my way! Mobile DJs carry every style of music and content and have a grasp of different mixing styles that can take you from a club type event to a wedding to a retirement party; the Mobile DJ is the general practitioner in the DJ world!”
When it comes to his DJ setup, Brannan reveals, “I have been using the Pioneer DJ XDJ-XZ for the last 4 years and absolutely love it. For speakers and lighting, it changes for the event and room. I do like using 10″ ropes with a 15″-18″ subwoofer under the table so the punch is felt and not really seen by the guests. Battery uplights and small movers are great, but give me an old school Sparkler light everyone.”
Among his new gear and go-to favorites, he says: “I love the PLX-CRSS12 and the new Wave Eight and Omnis Duo. The Wave Eight speakers have done about 17 weddings for me and they have been perfect, battery powered and wireless with Sonic Link is incredible!”
