Paul Oakenfold Tour Diary Week 1: Follow Paul on his journey to Electric Daisy Carnival (EDC) Las Vegas ’26.
Las Vegas – When I arrived in Sin City from London for EDC Vegas, I can tell you that it was wonderful to be back in a city where I was a resident at for three years at the Palms Casino – at the Planet Perfecto night every Saturday.
As most of you know, Electric Daisy Carnival is America’s best electronic music festival, and for me, it’s not only an opportunity to play in front of thousands, but I also get to see so many friends, listen to new colleagues, and hang out until the sun rises.

As I arrived in Vegas, many memories came back, as I haven’t been here for a while. Last time I was here, I was invited to The Sphere by U2, with whom I’ve toured back in the day. What a show! And what a venue! If you haven’t been, go and check it out. I’ve heard “The Wizard of Oz” is the movie to see there.
I stayed at one of my favorite hotels, The Venetian, and had dinner with old friends in town, Jeff and Sara Ermilio, Damon and Angela Damato, and Steven Bernstein.
We met up with management and agents, and we all flew on the helicopter into the EDC site. Seeing this amazing festival from the air is truly the only way to appreciate all the details and work involved. Hats off to Pasquale Rotella and Cam Sarna.

When we arrived, EDC liaisons met us and took us to the artist camp backstage. We said hello to a few colleagues, rolled into five interviews with various outlets – it was great to see press from around the world there – and then I went to my stage where I performed. Fantastic crowd. My set was recorded live, and if you do want to check it out, head over to YouTube, SoundCloud, and MixCloud for my full set, coming soon.
After my set, we hung out and went to various different stages to see The Prodigy, John Summit, Tiësto, and Prospa. After a wonderful night, we headed back on the helicopter, saying farewell to EDC Vegas until next year. Had an early flight out the next morning, as I was heading straight into Los Angeles for a recording session, working on my new single “Masquerade,” the “Club Mix.”
