The bold, in-house production reimagines the Las Vegas residency announcement with spectacle, storytelling, and global DJ power.
Wynn Nightlife is once again raising the bar with the release of The Year of Excess, a cinematic short film that captures the true essence, over-the-top energy, and larger-than-life spirit of Las Vegas. Narrated by Rob Riggle, the film brings together a powerhouse lineup of artists including Calvin Harris, The Chainsmokers, Marshmello, Diplo, Mau P, Hugel, Kaskade, ODESZA (DJ set), and SOFI TUKKER, among others, all set against the iconic backdrop of Wynn and Encore Las Vegas.
Developed over six months by the Wynn Nightlife creative marketing team and conceptualized by Emilio Gonzales and Alex Schenberg, the project pushes beyond the traditional residency announcement format. Instead, it delivers a fully immersive visual narrative filled with surreal, indulgent moments – from alpacas roaming the golf course to champagne-fueled graffiti and lavish poolside scenes. Each sequence is designed to embody the extravagance, ambition, and vibrant chaos that define the city’s nightlife at its peak.
“Wynn Nightlife has always believed that great entertainment speaks for itself. ‘The Year of Excess’ is the purest expression of that belief, as a visual piece that celebrates our artists, our venues, and the city of Las Vegas. Whether it brings people through our doors or simply reminds them why Las Vegas is unlike anywhere else in the world, that’s a win for all of us.” – Ryan Jones, Senior Vice President of Wynn Nightlife
The Year of Excess serves as a statement of intent for the future of Wynn Nightlife. Closing with the line “Now go and be FABULOUS,” the production pays homage to the legacy of XS Nightclub while signaling a new era of elevated experiences for Sin City partygoers. It’s not just an invitation to party – it’s an invitation to step into a world where every moment is amplified and the spectacle never stops.
“Following the launch of the cinematic piece, we hope “The Year of Excess” creates a feeling; One that honors its venues, the artists who define them, the city that inspires everything and an invitation to experience what comes next.” – Alex Schenberg, Creative Marketing of Wynn Nightlife
