Originally created during a 1999 show in New York, the track is a result of “The Rockafeller Skank” with the riff from “(I Can’t Get No) Satisfaction.”
Fatboy Slim and The Rolling Stones have finally released “Satisfaction Skank,” the once-mythical mashup that has been echoing through Fatboy Slim’s sets for more than 20 years. Out now via Southern Fried Records and ABKCO Records, the track brings together two of the most recognizable songs in modern music, marking a rare collaboration between the electronic music icon and rock legends.
Originally created during a 1999 show in New York – where Norman Cook fused “The Rockafeller Skank” with the iconic “(I Can’t Get No) Satisfaction” riff – the mashup quickly became a crowd favorite despite never having been given an official release. With fans on both sides requesting it for decades, the two camps finally agreed the time had come. Norman was entrusted with the original Stones stems, which he rebuilt into a high-energy, contemporary rework that still preserves the swagger and grit of the 1965 classic.
The release arrives with two distinct visuals. Tom Furse crafted an AI-driven video using Michael Spencer Jones’ archival Rolling Stones photography to reimagine the band’s 1965 universe, while director Elliot Gonzo created a surreal, club-inspired fantasy placing Norman alongside The Stones. Both visuals pay homage to the history and mythology behind this long-awaited collaboration.

‘Over countless years I have always dreamed of an official release for this mash up. It has been a favorite in my DJ sets for over a quarter of a century, I can confirm it is thoroughly road tested and fit for purpose….’ – Fatboy Slim
