The auction set for Mar. 28 includes over 150 pieces of memorabilia from Oakenfold’s expansive career as a superstar DJ and producer.

Julien’s Auctions is set to honor legendary DJ and electronic music pioneer Paul Oakenfold with its upcoming “Ready, Steady, Bid” auction in Los Angeles on Friday, March 28th at 10am PST, both in-person and online. The event will feature over 150 exclusive items from Oakenfold’s personal collection, including awards, vintage posters, flyers, photographs, fine art, and iconic DJ equipment.

As a trailblazer who has shaped the global electronic music scene for more than 30 years, Oakenfold was the first DJ to perform at Glastonbury for over 90,000 fans and has played unforgettable sets at locations like Stonehenge, Mt. Everest Basecamp, and the Great Wall of China. His résumé includes opening world tours for superstars like Madonna and U2, as well as pioneering the Las Vegas DJ residency trend, solidifying his reputation as one of the most influential figures in EDM history.

Extending far beyond the decks, Oakenfold’s impact outspreads deeply into the studio world. He has composed music for Hollywood blockbusters, major commercials, and bestselling video games, while also transforming hit songs through his renowned remixes. His reimagined versions of tracks by iconic artists such as U2, Madonna, Michael Jackson, The Rolling Stones, and Britney Spears have left an indelible mark on pop culture and music history.

Reminiscing about the items in his collection, Oakenfold said, “Why do I want to just put this in a box when I can share it with people and put a smile on their face and let them enjoy it.” Grinning proudly, he continues, “And with my collection, I think it will bring a smile to a lot of people’s faces.”

Adds Giles Moon Julien’s Auctions resident dance music expert, ”Paul has a remarkable collection of memorabilia not only celebrating his own stellar musical career, but also offering rarely seen artifacts charting the evolution of dance music from the 1980s to the 2000s, including an amazing archive of material encapsulating the evolution of Acid House Music from Ibiza to the mainstream London dance scene in the 1980s, that became known as “The Second Summer of Love.”
