    Each month we will highlight new songs and include a line of song lyrics, a description of the song’s emotional profile, and a few fun facts — designed to help you advise a wedding couple if they’re looking for something fresh in their playlist.

    The track blends 80s synth-pop with contemporary alternative pop for an upbeat love song.

    Notable Lyrics: think I’m in love with you / stay the night, I wanna hold you in my arms / cause baby what if tomorrow never comes”

    Fun Facts: “think i’m in love with you” is currently the best-selling alternative track in the web3 space. It surpassed Snoop Dogg, becoming the best-selling music NFT at the time. It appeared on the Billboard Music NFT Chart totaling more than $40,000 on the Ethereum blockchain.

    Alan Walker, JVKE, YUQI

    A pop dance hit has a hook guests can sing along to as a background song or dance set.

    Notable Lyrics: “You know sparks gonna fly / Every time you look into my eyes / All it takes is one small match to light / Cause once we feel the flame we’ll never die”

    Fun Facts: Alan Walker created the Walkerworld theme park map for Fortnite! The main goal is to capture objectives to get points and eliminate enemy players in your way. YUQI is a member of the K-pop all-girl group (G)I-DLE. 

     

    One On One

    The Knocks, SOFI TUKKER

    A modern disco song that has the vibes of Funky Town by Lipps Inc. with a great dance beat.

    Notable Lyrics: “So give it up, I’m feeling just a little tempted / I need to know you, need to have you / One on one”

    Fun Facts: SOFI TUKKER and The Knocks have previously collaborated on the songs “Brazilian Soul” and “Best Friend”. SOFFI TUCKER has select performance dates in 2024 including a residency at Marquee Nightclub in Las Vegas.

     

    Soul Bossa Nova

    Grace Kelly feat. Sean Jones

    Bossa Nova has seen recent growth in popularity and this song fits nicely as a background song.

    Notable Lyrics: This is an instrumental.

    Fun Facts: Grace Kelly performs the saxophone on the track and Sean Jones plays the trumpet. Kelly released her first alum at the age of 12. She was a regular performer with Jon Batiste’s Stay Human on The Late Show. Kelly is currently performing on select dates including a Smooth Jazz Cruise.

     

    Needle

    Nicki Minaj feat. Drake

    It is yet to be determined which tracks will take off from Minaj’s new album Pink Friday 2 but this track has a great dance beat from two Hip Hop icons.

    Notable Lyrics: “I know I get crazy, I know I get feisty / Baby, and you’re still my baby / You said I would make it, I’m so glad we made it”

    Fun Facts: The track was originally planned to be on Drake’s album For All the Dogs, which was released in October. Minaj begins her Pink Friday 2 World Tour in March in Oakland through June ending in France. Drake starts his It’s All a Blur Tour in January in Denver with most dates with J. Cole.

    Diplo, Maren Morris

    A perfectly themed song for a wedding’s cocktail hour for sharing good vibes.

    Notable Lyrics: “Yeah, I’ll be sippin’ on you, like that ’42 / ‘Til the sun go down, pour another round”

    Fun Facts: Diplo recently released two country albums Diplo Presents Thomas Wesley, Chapter 1: Snake Oil (2020) and Diplo Presents Thomas Wesley: Chapter 2 – Swamp Savant (2023). He got his start at Philly’s Hollertronix started in 2002 by DJ Lowbudget and Diplo. Morris’s latest release is her 7″ EP The Bridge.

     

    If I Were A Love Song

    A rising country song singing about love for a unique slow first dance.

    Notable Lyrics: “We’d go down in history wouldn’t we, baby / Be playin’ on every country station / We’d have the whole world singin’ along / If we were a love song”

    Fun Facts: Kidd G already has more than 1.6 million followers on TikTok and has surpassed 1 million monthly listeners on Spotify. On January 5th, 2024, he had his Grand Ole Opry debut show.

     

    Everywhere, Everything

    Noah Kahan & Gracie Abrams

    If couples want a dark romantic song for their wedding day to celebrate their love for each other, this is a winner.

    Notable Lyrics: “Everywhere everything / I wanna love you ‘till we’re food for the worms to eat / ‘Till our fingers decompose / Keep my hand in yours”

    Fun Facts: Kahan is currently on his We’ll All Be Here Forever Tour through August. Adams is performing on her The Good Riddance Tour. Abrams recently opened for Taylor Swift on select Eras Tour dates.

     

    Falling For You

    Niko Moon

    Not every country wedding song needs to be a slow love song. This is a mid-tempo track for sharing love vibes.

    Notable Lyrics: “I keep on falling for you / And I ain’t landed yet / Since the day that we met”

    Fun Facts: The song will be featured on Moon’s second album ‘Better Days’ set for release on January 19th. On Moon’s first album, the biggest hit was “Good Time” which is another mid-tempo feel-good song with 150+ million streams on Spotify.

     

    Thank You (Not So Bad)

    Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Tiësto & Dido

    An electronic dance song to play as a way to thank your guests for coming to your wedding.

    Notable Lyrics: “And even if I could, it’d all be grey / But your picture on my wall / It reminds me that it’s not so bad”

    Fun Facts: The song reimagines Dido’s 2000 original hit “Thank You”. It first took off at Dimitri Vegas’ Ushuaïa Ibiza shows. Following live clips of the track going viral on social media, Dido gave her blessing for her iconic vocals to be used on the track. Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike have amassed more than 5 million subscribers on YouTube and 11 million monthly listeners on Spotify.
