Marshmello & Farruko Team Up on Fresh New Collab, “Esta Vida”

Marshmello & Farruko join forces for their new collaboration, “Esta Vida,” following a debut performance at the Ultra Music Festival MainStage in Miami.

Less than three weeks after performing together at the Ultra Music Festival MainStage in Miami, Marshmello & Farruko are set to release their new collaboration, “Esta Vida.” The track made its debut on March 26 live from Bayfront Park in Downtown, Miami in front of more than 50,000 attendees (and a live stream on UMF TV that reached more than 1 million viewers), as Mello closed out the 3-day festival.

Coinciding with the release of “Esta Vida” comes an official music video. Arriving today, the official video, which is directed by Justice Silvera, shows the duality of Farruko living two lives: one as a man who is homeless, and another as a celebrity surrounded by fame and fortune before his descent. The music video, which stars both artists, tells the story of success and failure.

The release of “Esta Vida” arrives alongside the success of Marshmello’s latest hit collaboration with Manuel Turizo. In its first month, “El Merengue” has scored more than 87.5 Million combined streams while reaching prominent placements on Spotify’s Global Top 50 (#43) and Apple Music’s Latin Top 50. The beautiful fusion of tropical sounds continue to win over the hearts of fans, trending in the Top 5 on YouTube and most recently scoring Shazam’s #5 Latin song (+ #60 overall song). It’s currently #1 on the Tropical Airplay Chart, a new first for Marshmello. Watch fans sing and dance along to “El Merengue” during Marshmello’s Ultra Music Festival set, here.

The recent string of Latin collaborations mark a new era of Spanish music releases for Marshmello. The innovative and forward thinking DJ teased yet another unreleased track during his recent EDC Mexico performance alongside Mexican artists Fuerza Regida and Peso Pluma. Fans continue to speculate after Marshmello revealed, “[I’m] working on myself…and a new album…” via his Instagram, and later posted a photo with Anuel.  Check this space for more to come from the GRAMMY Award-nominated artist in the Latin space as 2023 continues to unfold.
