Catering to DJs aiming to make their own music, remixing, track editing – the new subscription service connects rekordbox with Bitwig Studio Essentials.
AlphaTheta’s newly announced Studio Plan is designed to help DJs take their creativity beyond the decks and into music production. The subscription includes Bitwig Studio Essentials, a digital audio workstation (DAW) that lets users arrange audio and MIDI clips, experiment with instruments and effects, and develop their own tracks. By connecting the software with rekordbox, DJs can also bring their existing music libraries into their production workflow, making it easier to build on familiar tracks and apply their mixing skills to new creative projects.
The integration transfers useful rekordbox information, including BPM, key data, Hot Cues, and vocal positions, allowing DJs to use those details when editing tracks and creating remixes. Bitwig Studio Essentials also includes STEMS separation for isolating vocals, drums, bass, and other elements, although STEMS support for Studio Plan will arrive in a future update. A 30-day free trial also gives users an opportunity to explore the workflow before committing to a subscription.
Key Features:
- Bitwig Studio Essentials: Create tracks by arranging audio and MIDI clips, with 40 instruments and effects and 10 modulators included.
- rekordbox integration: Browse DJ libraries directly in Bitwig Studio and transfer BPM, key, Hot Cue, and vocal-position data.
- DJ-focused remixing: Use familiar tracks and cue points as starting material for edits, remixes, and original productions.
- STEMS separation: Isolate vocals, drums, bass, and other musical elements for creative use. Support is planned for a future update.
- 30-day free trial: Explore music production and the Studio Plan workflow before subscribing.
