A next-generation standalone controller combines refined hardware design, USB-C connectivity, and expanded WOLFMIX 2.0 capabilities for hands-on lighting control.

ADJ has introduced the WMX1 Mk3, the latest evolution of its standalone DMX lighting controller. Retaining the familiar WOLFMIX workflow, the updated model features a redesigned enclosure, an improved button mechanism, USB-C connectivity, and a precision-molded design built to integrate with the upcoming WING expansion controller. Its standalone operation allows lighting professionals to program and run shows without needing a computer.

The WMX1 Mk3 runs WOLFMIX 2.0 “Double Trouble” firmware, expanding creative options for building and synchronizing lighting effects. With support for more than 15,000 fixture profiles and control of up to four DMX universes through optional upgrades, the controller is designed for mobile entertainers, venues, and production professionals seeking advanced lighting control in a compact format.

“The WMX1 has established itself as a powerful and accessible way to take professional control of a lighting rig without the need for a computer or the complexity of a traditional console. The WMX1 Mk3 builds on everything users already love about the platform while refining the experience for what comes next. The new button mechanism, streamlined enclosure, USB-C connectivity, and WING-ready design make the hardware feel more modern, while WOLFMIX 2.0 brings significant new creative possibilities to the platform.” — Alfred Gonzales, ADJ’s Director of Sales

    Key Features:

    • Standalone DMX control: Operates without a computer, with support for a wide range of lighting fixtures.
    • Refined hardware: Improved buttons, a 4.3-inch capacitive touchscreen, rotary controls, and USB-C connectivity.
    • WOLFMIX 2.0 firmware: Expanded capacity for presets, live edits, and projects.
    • Advanced effects: Simultaneous Color, Move, and Beam effects, plus Clusters for independent control of fixture elements.
    • Enhanced music synchronization: Manual BPM adjustment, live beat nudging, and a Music Break function.
    • Expanded color control: Updated RGB+ color picking, LIME support, and CMY and HUE modes.
    • Extensive fixture support: More than 15,000 fixture profiles and management of up to 680 fixtures.
    • Expandable system: Designed to integrate with the upcoming WING expansion controller.
