Paul Oakenfold Tour Diary Week 10: Over the past six weeks, the United Champions Tour with Oakenfold, The Crystal Method and Liquid Todd has followed the World Cup around the North American continent.
Santa Fe, N.M. – We’ve wrapped up the last weekend of the United Champions Tour, and what a tour it’s been.
Over the past six weeks, the United Champions Tour with myself, The Crystal Method and Liquid Todd has followed the World Cup around the North American continent. We’ve visited the three host nations – United States, Mexico and Canada – going to various tournament games, fan zones, private events, and great clubs and festivals. What a tour! Met so many wonderful people. Thank you to everyone who came and supported.

Went to the England/Argentina semi-final game in Atlanta this past July 15. As you can imagine, nothing but disappointment. The following day, I wrapped up my promotion and interviews at SiriusXM radio, and then flew to Denver for the first of the last two shows.
In the Mile High City, we played Cervantes Masterpiece Ballroom this past Saturday night – what a fantastic show. Sold out. Been going to Denver for many years, and it’s always a great crowd.

And wrapping up the tour, our last show was in Santa Fe N.M. I’ve played Santa Fe before and got invited to perform with the Meow Wolf guys. Good to see some old friends from the crew. I love going there, and it was a perfect place to finish up the tour. At the end of the night, Scott Kirkland (aka The Crystal Method) and Liquid Todd both came back up on stage for a couple more tracks, wrapping up the night and tour.

Again, thank you all for coming. Now, onto Europe/U.K. See you all soon!

Track of the Week: Oakenfold x Marie Vaunt x Binary Finary’s “1998.”
