This week’s DJ LIFE Mobile Monday DJ spotlight, presented by QSC, shines on Miro Cuzulan (DJ Miro) from Dubrovnik, Croatia.
DJ Miro is this week’s DJ LIFE Mobile Monday spotlight. Presented by QSC, Miro Cuzulan (DJ Miro) is based out of Dubrovnik, Croatia, and services Croatia, Montenegro, Bosnia, and Herzegovina. From his beginnings as a live performer to his evolution into a full-scale mobile DJ, Miro’s path has been shaped by a deep love for music and performance.
Starting out in 2006 as a drummer and backing vocalist in a band, he eventually transitioned into DJing after stepping away from that chapter. Now working across weddings and corporate events, Miro finds thrill in the variety and excitement that comes with each unique celebration. Cuzulan enjoys traveling, meeting new people, and discovering new music through every event, while also recognizing the physical demands that come with long hours, constant setup, and time away from family during peak season.

When DJ LIFE spoke with Miro regarding all things mobile DJ, here’s how it went down…
DJ LIFE: How did you get started as a DJ?
Miro: My musical journey began in 2006 when I formed a band where I performed as a drummer and backing vocalist. After leaving the band, transitioning into DJing felt like a natural next step, and I quickly realized how much I loved it.
DJ LIFE: What does being a mobile DJ mean to you?
Miro: Being a mobile DJ means having the opportunity to travel, meet wonderful couples and clients, and continuously discover and explore new music. Every event brings a unique atmosphere and experience, which keeps the job exciting and inspiring.
DJ LIFE: Can you tell us about your current DJ setup?
Miro: My current setup includes the Pioneer DDJ-FLX10 controller, a QSC KC12 sound system, a Humpter B3 DJ booth, Shure wireless microphones, and both 360 pixel tubes.
DJ LIFE: What would your perfect or dream setup look like?
Miro: I’m very satisfied with my current setup, as it provides everything I need to deliver a high-quality performance. At the moment, I don’t have plans to make any major changes.
DJ LIFE: Do you have any favorite or new gear that you’re currently using?
Miro: I genuinely enjoy working with all of my equipment, but I especially appreciate the exceptional sound quality of the QSC system and the creative possibilities that stems technology offers on the Pioneer DDJ-FLX10.
DJ LIFE: What are some of the biggest pros and cons of being a mobile DJ?
Miro: One of the biggest advantages is meeting new people, traveling to places I may not have visited otherwise, and discovering new music through different weddings and corporate events, each with its own unique story. On the other hand, the job can be physically demanding due to long travel hours, limited sleep during busy periods, and transporting and setting up equipment.
DJ LIFE: Do you have any DJ-related pet peeves?
Miro: One funny pet peeve would probably be guests requesting songs while leaning over the DJ booth with a drink in hand.
DJ LIFE: How has being a DJ impacted your personal and family life?
Miro: Being a DJ has had a significant impact on my personal life, especially during peak wedding season. At times, I spend less time with my wife and our two children than I would like, as some events require me to be away for several days.
