Ahead of Movement Detroit’s 20th anniversary edition at Hart Plaza, the leading fest drops its daily lineups.
Movement Music Festival marks a major milestone in 2026, celebrating 20 years with another anticipated Memorial Day weekend edition at Detroit’s Hart Plaza. Long considered one of the world’s leading electronic music events, the fest continues to honor the city’s foundational role in techno while bringing together global artists, underground innovators, and hometown legends for three days of music programming, art, and likeminded individuals, all along the riverfront with a Detroit backdrop.
Starting things off on Saturday, May 23, Movement’s deep Detroit roots and techno-leaning identity is at the forefront with sets from Sara Landry, Richie Hawtin, Stacey Pullen, Octo Octa, Nastia, and Ellen Allien b2b DJ Stingray 313, alongside standout collabs from the likes of Carl Craig b2b Cajmere and Borderland (Live). The day also blends live experimentation and local energy from acts such as Terrence Dixon (Live), Dames Brown, Kyle Hall b2b Byron the Aquarius, and Zack Fox b2b Jyoty, setting the tone with a balance of tradition and evolution.
Sunday, May 24, expands into house, melodic, and global club sounds with headliners Carl Cox, ANNA, Maceo Plex, and Barry Can’t Swim, plus tastemaker favorites like Josh Baker, Skream, Oscar Mulero, and The Martinez Brothers b2b Eddie Fowlkes. The Sunday lineup bridges classic with contemporary styles, weaving together Detroit mainstays, international artists, and crossover live acts including NEIL FRANCES presents CLUB NF and Blawan (Live).
Close the weekend out on Monday, May 25, with an eclectic, high-energy finale led by Dom Dolla, Mochakk, Hot Since 82, Green Velvet, and KI/KI, while performances from Boys Noize b2b MCR-T, DJ Tennis b2b DJ BORING, and Special Request push into darker club territory. Detroit representation remains strong through artists like DJ Minx, Delano Smith, and Detroit Techno Militia, ensuring the festival’s finale reflects both the city’s legacy and the global community it continues to influence.
