Welcome to the November 2025 edition of Behind the Wedding Music – your go-to guide for building unforgettable wedding playlists. Each month, we spotlight brand-new tracks along with notable lyrics, emotional context, and fun facts to help DJs curate the perfect soundtrack for the big day.

New wedding song ideas from October 2025:

    If The World Burns Down

    Kacey Musgraves

    October 23, 2025

A romantic slow song perfect for a first dance or slow dance.

Notable Lyrics: “If the way it goes goes against our dreams / If I never told you, you were it for me”

Fun Facts: The song was released as part of the soundtrack for the second season of the Netflix series ‘Nobody Wants This’. The production is minimal and has an emotionally raw style.

    In The Dark

    Selena Gomez

    October 23, 2025

This is an upbeat pop song to play for a modern cocktail hour.

Notable Lyrics: “Wake up your world, come melt away with me / Out of your waves, you know I’ll set you free / And I’ll wait up, love, when you can’t sleep, love”

Fun Facts: The song was released as part of the soundtrack for the second season of the Netflix series ‘Nobody Wants This’. The track was actually recorded earlier during the sessions around her album ‘Rare’ in 2020. Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco married on September 27, 2025.

    Vienna

    Anna Duboc

    October 17, 2025

A piano jazz track made for a dinner set or a cake cutting for couples wanting a classy musical accompaniment.

Notable Lyrics: “You’re gonna kick off before you even / Get halfway through / When will you realize, Vienna waits for you?”

Fun Facts: The music video was recorded at Steinway’s showroom in Beverly Hills. The original was released in 1977 by Billy Joel on the album ‘The Stranger’. Joel’s music video was not released until 2024.

    Who’s Dat Girl

    Rema & Ayra Starr

    October 17, 2025

This track has a vibe that can bridge cultures and generations

Notable Lyrics: “Guess you never heard of me, I’m popping out like confetti (Who’s that girl?) No fit clone mi energy, ’cause I’m the one they wanna see”

Fun Facts: The track blends Afrobeats with dancehall and R&B. Starr began as a fashion model before switching to music. Her hit “Rush” made her the youngest African female artist to chart on the Billboard Hot 100. Rema has a few live dates in 2026, including Coachella.

I Wanna Go – John Summit Remix

    John Summit & Britney Spears

    October 17, 2025

A great dance track where EDM and the Britney Army collide.

Notable Lyrics: “I wanna show / All the dirt / I got running through my mind / Whoa”

Fun Facts: “I Wanna Go” is a track from Britney Spears’ 2011 album Femme Fatale. The lyrics are about letting go of inhibitions. Since John Summit is a current DJ/producer with dance-floor credibility, using his remix helps you stay “on-trend” while still leveraging a recognizable pop anthem.

    Destiny

    Alesso, SACHA

    October 17, 2025

A hype dance track with a love theme made for weddings.

Notable Lyrics: “In the stars, or in every dream / Heart to heart like we’re meant to be / Can’t deny, you’re my destiny”

Fun Facts: The track is a collaboration between Swedish DJ/producer Alesso (Alessandro Lindblad) and UK-based singer-songwriter SACHA (Sacha Marie Taylor). It has a nostalgic progressive house energy. Alesso is currently on tour with upcoming festival dates around the world, including Colorado, Thailand, and Australia.

    To The Moon

    Alok & Illenium

    October 10, 2025

The track fits nicely when moving from more mainstream pop/dance into full-on club or floats into a more atmospheric set.

Notable Lyrics: “I know there’s someone out there / I’m away, I’m away / Follow to the moon”

Fun Facts: Alok is currently touring across 5 countries. Illenium closes out 2025 with many tour dates in the USA and one in Mexico. However, in 2026, he has a residency at the Las Vegas Sphere with a show at the Ultra Music Festival in between Vegas shows.

    Get Down

Blasterjaxx, Lil Jon, and Steve Aoki

    October 10, 2025

The track is built for energy with big drops, loud build-ups, and Lil Jon’s signature hype-vocal style to get everyone excited.

Notable Lyrics: “Go hard, go harder / Get wild til the beat drop / Turn up the bass”

Fun Facts: The name “Blasterjaxx” combines “blaster” (for their explosive sound) and “jaxx” (as a nod to house music’s Chicago roots). Tiësto took Blasterjaxx under his wing and featured their track “Fifteen” on his ‘Club Life’ compilation album in 2013.

    Set Me Free

    Armin van Buuren and SACHA

    October 3, 2025

This EDM song can be used as a sing-along anthem with its emotional chorus.

Notable Lyrics: “All my dreams and all my hopes / Are coming back to me / I believe /  You set me free”

Fun Facts: The track was performed live by Armin van Buuren featuring SACHA at major festival settings in 2025 (including Tomorrowland) before an official release. The collaboration is not their first; Armin van Buuren has previously featured Sacha on other tracks like “Guestlist” and “Follow Me”.

    My Kinda Saturday Night

    Luke Combs

    October 3, 2025

This is a fun country party dance song from a superstar.

Notable Lyrics: “Cold can packin’ and some old boys crackin’ on whatever’s in the cooler light / Sure sounds like my kinda Saturday night”

Fun Facts: The song “My Kinda Saturday Night” is part of Luke Combs’s 3-song EP ‘The Prequel’. It also features the love song “Days Like These”. Combs starts his My Kinda Saturday Night Tour in March 2026, starting in Las Vegas.
