Allen & Heath has unveiled the Xone:K3, a next-generation MIDI controller designed to deliver professional-grade performance and flexibility for DJs, producers, and live performers. Building on the legacy of the popular K2, the Xone:K3 enhances durability, workflow, and connectivity for modern creative setups.
Crafted with a rugged diecast metal chassis, nutted pots, and tactile switches, the Xone:K3 is engineered to handle the rigors of touring and studio use alike. Connectivity is equally robust, featuring USB-C and X:Link integration with Allen & Heath mixers such as the Xone:96, PX5, 43C, and 23C. The new star-topology USB support also allows multiple K3 units to be connected and recognized independently, expanding control surfaces without added complexity.
The K3 features 52 physical controls – including faders, pots, encoders, and backlit buttons –across three independent user layers, providing up to 174 assignable MIDI parameters per mapping. Users can customize every aspect of their workflow using the free Xone Controller Editor app, assigning MIDI CC or Note data, adjusting RGB feedback, and managing custom layers or saved mappings.
Additional highlights include compatibility with existing Xone:K1 and K2 mappings, ensuring smooth integration into established workflows, as well as broad support for leading DJ and production software. As a class-compliant MIDI device, the Xone:K3 operates driver-free across macOS, Windows, iOS, and Android systems.
