The famed DJ/producer trio drops a genre-blending dance-pop LP featuring the likes of CeeLo Green, Kenny G, Jasmine Thompson, and more.
Celebrating a decade at the forefront of genre-fluid electronic/pop music, Cheat Codes returns with their new full-length album Future Renaissance. An ambitious and vibrant collection of 15 tracks, the LP marks a creative high point for the Los Angeles-based producer trio. Comprised of members Kevin Ford, Trevor Dahl, and Matthew Russell, the guys tap into nostalgia, modern dance energy, and bold collaborations to craft a sonic experience that feels both familiar and looking towards their artistic future.
The standout single “Go To Hell,” featuring the unmistakable vocals of GRAMMY-winning soul legend CeeLo Green, exemplifies the album’s signature blend of catchy melodies and emotional bite. CeeLo’s always recognizable voice over an addictive piano-driven beat, culminating in a chorus that’s both cheeky and cathartic. The track is a retro-soul anthem that screams dance-pop – tailor-made with the flare for both heartbreak and high-energy dance floors.
Future Renaissance delivers a dynamic range of moods and textures. “Towers” featuring Frawley packs an emotional punch with sweeping drops and vocal firepower, while “Rich Kids” leans into bright and lively energy. The album’s emotional anchor may be “Believing In Us” with Oaks, which finds the trio exploring vulnerability through cinematic production and a soaring hook. With features from Izzy Bizu, Jasmine Thompson, LP, Kenny G, and more, the album thrives on collaboration and a willingness to stretch its sound across pop dance and electronic music sub-genres.
To support the release, Cheat Codes is hitting the road, where they’ll even join Katy Perry for two massive arena shows in August – Quebec City and Detroit – while also making stops across Europe and North America on the festival and club circuit. This year, the guys also marked notable recent performances at Miami Music Week, Academy LA, and the EDMA Awards.
