10 Brand-New Songs for Your March Wedding Playlist

Enjoy the March 2025 edition of “Behind the Wedding Music,” a resource to help build wedding playlists for DJs. Each month we will highlight new songs and include a line of song lyrics, a description of the song’s emotional profile, and a few fun facts — designed to help you advise a wedding couple if they’re looking for something fresh in their playlist.

New wedding song ideas from February 2025:

    My Heart Goes

    Sam Feldt feat. Oaks

    February 21, 2025

The track is about a euphoric feeling of falling in love for dance fans.

Notable Lyrics: “You can show me off tonight / Hold me with your eyes, tell me what you like / And then my heart goes / Ba-ba-bira”

Fun Facts: You can catch Feldt in Las Vegas at LIV Nighclub and many dates around the world including Ultra Miami 2025. Feldt’s most stream song on Spotify is “Post Malone” with RINI released in 2019. It has more than 605 million streams.

    Too Much

    Dove Cameron

    February 21, 2025

An electropop hit with all the right beats for a dance party that will mix well with Lady Gaga.

Notable Lyrics: “If I’m such a big deal, maybe you’re too little / Ooh, ooh, it’s tough, I’m too, too, too much”

Fun Facts: The song reached #95 on the UK Singles chart but don’t be dismayed by that. She currently does not have any upcoming tour dates. Her 2023 hit “Boyfriend” has surpassed 715 million Spotify streams!

    To the Moon

    Smithfield

    February 14, 2025

A beautiful love song released on Valetine’s Day for a first dance.

Notable Lyrics: “And no treasure’d ever measure up / ‘Cause, baby, I’ll always love you to the moon / To the moon”

Fun Facts: SmithField, the dynamic duo of Jenn Fielder and Trey Smith, carry on country music’s rich tradition of male-female duets with their modern country sound. The music video for another wedding song “We’ll Figure It Out” features scenes from Fielder’s wedding including the first performance of the song.

    Ease My Mind

    Chris Lake & Abel Balder

    February 14, 2025

If you are planning a house music set for dinner or background music, this track will fit nicely into it.

Notable Lyrics: “Where’ve you gone? Baby, can you еase my mind? / On the phone, I miss you, but I’ll bе alright / No control, I’m runnin’, I can feel tonight”

Fun Facts: Lake will be busy this year with a residency in Las Vegas at Palm Tree Beach Club, Marquee Dayclub and Nightclub along with other dates around the world. Lake’s most streamed song on Spotify is “Turn Off The Lights” released in 2018 with Alexis Roberts.

    Here In Your Arms

    Nathan Dawe & Abi Flynn

    February 14, 2025

The vocals are phenomenal and on point for a wedding. The track could be great during a progressive house set.

Notable Lyrics: “So scared of love / But I won’t leave / I’m staying / Here in your arms / I’ll be right here waiting”

Fun Facts: Dawe’s other big hits include “Lighter” with KSI, “0800 HEAVEN”, and “21 Reasons” with Ella Henderson. Flynn has worked with other DJs/producers such as Eddie Craig “Close To You”, DJ Zinc “Everything Fells Like You”, and RL Grime with “come aliv3”.

    Hurricane

    Frank Walker feat. Clara Mae

    February 14, 2025

If you are looking for an EDM song that fits the theme of a last dance, this track is a winner.

Notable Lyrics: “Can we have one more dance in this hurricane? / Yeah, it hurts like hell, but it’s worth the pain”

Fun Facts: As Steve Aoki has a business-minded dad (Benihana), so did Walker with his parents and grandfather, owing Magna International, known for automotive parts. Walker is touring at select dates including music festivals and Marquee Nightclub in Las Vegas.

    Romeo

    Anitta

    February 7, 2025

A reggaeton party hit in all Spanish, but everyone will enjoy.

Notable Lyrics (English translation): “An adventure / If you’re looking for a night of mischief / Stay here dancing with me”

Fun Facts: The music video embraces a modern reinterpretation of the classic Romeo and Juliet story. In April, Anitta is expected to make her second appearance at the show. In 2025, Netflix released a documentary titled “Larissa: The Other Side of Anitta” that documents her rise to stardom.

    When I Got You

    Cash Cash & lovelytheband

    February 7, 2025

An alt-rock dance crossover to set love vibes into the air as guests arrive at the reception.

Notable Lyrics: “When I got you, I don’t need nobody else / Only know anybody else when I got you”

Fun Facts: Cash Cash and lovelytheband have known each other since being college roommates in Nashville. Cash Cash is a DJ trio from New Jersey. Lovelytheband is also a trio that comprises the alternative rock band, most known for their song “broken”.

    Born Again

LISA feat. Doja Cat & RAYE

    February 6, 2025

Even though the song is a post-breakup song, it is a girl anthem representing empowerment.

Notable Lyrics: “If you tried just a little more times / I would’ve made you a believer / Would’ve showed you what it’s like / Every single night”

Fun Facts: The song represents LISA’s fifth song to make it on the Billboard Hot 100 Chart – which also includes “New Woman”, “Rockstar”, “Money”, and “Lalisa”. I am surprised “Moonlit Floor (Kiss Me)” did not make it. The song was released on LISA’s first studio album titled “Alter Ego” released on February 28th.

    Abracadabra

    Lady Gaga

    February 3, 2025

The song’s dance-pop vibe will definitely be a popular club song. Hopefully it makes its way as a wedding party song.

Notable Lyrics: “You hear the last few words of your life / With a haunting dance, now you’re both in a trance / It’s time to cast your spell on the night”

Fun Facts: On February 2nd “Die With A Smile”, duet with Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars, won a Grammy Award for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance. The song’s first day on Spotify was her single track’s greatest release day success with nearly 5 million streams. The music video premiered during the Grammy Awards as part of a Mastercard commercial.
