Insomniac Events founder Pasquale Rotella made a series of announcements for EDC LV ’25 on the Music Through Music livestream.

In keeping with tradition, Insomniac Founder & CEO Pasquale Rotella unveiled plenty of updates for EDC Las Vegas 2025 during Wednesday night’s Music Through Music livestream. Setting the stage for the 29th edition of the world-famous music festival, welcome to the “kineticMETROPOLIS.”

With the brand-new theme comes expanded stage designs, a groundbreaking music education partnership, and the return of fan-favorite experiences, this year’s festival promises to be bigger and more dynamic than ever. Night owls can anticipate 16 total stages, an expected 500,000 Headliners, and a lineup featuring more than 250 artists.

EDC Vegas sets out to transform into a futuristic city of sound, energy, and connection, embracing the innovation and diversity that make the festival an unparalleled experience, year after year. Some of this year’s highlights include the debut of Ubuntu, a new stage created in partnership with South Africa’s Bridges For Music Academy, an expanded bionicJUNGLE, a redesigned quantumVALLEY, and the final year of the current bassPOD stage design before the unveiling of an entirely new structure arriving in 2026. Additionally, Insomniac’s Discovery Project has joined forces with Icon Collective, offering this year’s competition winner a full-ride scholarship to the renowned music production school

Here’s everything you need to know about the biggest announcements from Rotella’s livestream.
