    Each month we will highlight new songs and include a line of song lyrics, a description of the song’s emotional profile, and a few fun facts — designed to help you advise a wedding couple if they’re looking for something fresh in their playlist.

    Fun Facts: Avicii and Blacc originally released “Wake Me Up” in 2013. Blacc starts the new year off with a 3-date concert at the Blue Note Jazz Club in NYC. On February 1st, Alan starts his To The Bar Tour in Charlotte, NC. Alan’s previously released “Tough Ones” was selected for many first dances.

     

    Somethin’ ‘Bout A Woman

    Notable Lyrics: “Somethin’ ’bout the way they bring ya to your knees / Somethin’ ’bout a woman

    Fun Facts: The song was first released in August as a solo song by Rhett. The two artists performed a mash-up of “Somethin’ ‘Bout A Woman” & “Lose Control” at the 58th Annual CMA Awards. The two also collaborated in 2020 on the song “Broke”.

     

    Coco Dance (Cheesecake Boys Miami Mix)

    The song is classified as Afro House Beats. It is made to hype the dance floor.

    Notable Lyrics: “Move your body, girl (Move it, babe), make the fellas go / The way you ride it, girl, makes the fellas go”

    Fun Facts: The song samples Whitney Houston’s “I Wanna Dance With Somebody” and Nina Sky’s “Move Ya Body”. Crazibiza is promoted as one of the most creative Funky Jackin House producer Duos of today. Crazibiza is promoted by Beatport as one of the Best Remixers topping the Beatport House Chart 12 times.

    Bring a tropical house vibe with country-inspired melodies to your dance floor!

    Notable Lyrics: “Oh-oh, just hold on me / ‘Cause love is all we need, darlin’”

    Fun Facts: Kygo is currently on tour and has dates booked in the new year through March and one in July. You may remember Cavazza collaborated with Avicii on the track “‘Without You” in 2017. The song has amassed more than 1 billion listens on Spotify!

     

    Can’t Let You Go

    BLOND:ISH, Bantu

    Notable Lyrics: “Cause I can’t let you go / I got a thing for you now, no time for later”

    Fun Facts: BLOND:ISH is a music producer and DJ from Montreal, Canada. Bantu is a rapper, singer/songwriter, and producer from Zimbabwe. BLOND:ISH has more than 4 million monthly Spotify listeners. BLOND:ISH is currently traveling the world with select dates into June.

     

    Now Or Never

    Pitbull, Bon Jovi

    Pitbull continues his streak of remixing popular songs and this is a party jam.

    Notable Lyrics: “I just wanna live while I’m alive / That’s why I say, everybody / Live life, don’t let life live you (it’s my life)”

    Fun Facts: The song is a remix of Bon Jovi’s ”It’s My Life”. Jon Bon Jovi and Pitbull performed the song at the 2024 Latin Grammys. If you haven’t watched it yet, it is a must-watch for music fans – Thank you, Goodnight: The Bon Jovi Story streaming on Hulu and released in April.

     

    Looking For Love

    A dance hit blending DJ beats and Latin for a fun track.

    Notable Lyrics: “If they give us a chance / We’ll get lost and let the romance begin / And if they give us a chance / I’ll do it again, no one can stop it”

    Fun Facts: Anitta and Alok are two of Brazil’s most influential artists. Anitta has more than 38 million monthly listeners on Spotify and Alok has surpassed 23 million monthly listeners. Alok claims to have the second biggest following on Instagram for electronic artists at 29 million.

     

    Heaven In Your Arms

    A dance track to get dancers excited and has a love theme too.

    Notable Lyrics: “I feel heaven in your arms / Anywhere you are / You’re all I ever wanted”

    Fun Facts: Ware watched salute perform live and sought after him to work together. Jessie hosts a podcast with her Mother Lennie called Table Manners. Ware has just over 2 million monthly Spotify listeners with her most listened to song being “Say You Love Me” in 2014.

     

    Glad You Came

    A soulful way to close out a wedding reception with a relevant theme.

    Notable Lyrics: “You gon’ to be glad you came / And even more glad you stayed (Stayed) / On God, I love keeping you safe”

    Fun Facts: The song is on Mario’s upcoming sixth studio album under the same name. The song is about the journey of love and intimacy. Mario will be on Mary J. Blige’s For My Fans Tour along with Ne-Yo. “Let Me Love You” is Mario’s most-played song on Spotify.

     

    DJ Play A Christmas Song (Remix)

    If you want a song to accompany “All I Want For Christmas” by Mariah Carey, this is a great track for dancing.

    Notable Lyrics: “DJ, play a Christmas song / I wanna be dancin’ all night long / It’s cold outside, but it’s warm in here / And that’s the only thing I want this year”

    Fun Facts: The song was first released last year by Cher herself and made it into Billboard’s Hot 100 chart. It was also the first time Cher made it onto the chart in over twenty years. The new version is 4:02 minutes long (33 seconds longer than the original 3:29 minute album version).
