ALOK & Jess Glynne Drop Anthemic “Summer’s Back”

The new collaboration breathes new life into British dance-pop duo Moloko’s timeless 1999 single, “Sing It Back.”

Brazilian music superstar ALOK, known for his collaborations with James Arthur, John Legend, and The Chainsmokers, has teamed up with British GRAMMY®-winning singer Jess Glynne for the new dance anthem “Summer’s Back.” Now available on all digital streaming platforms, the single promises to be an upbeat hit that will have listeners dancing all summer.

“Summer’s Back” blends classic 2000’s energy with contemporary pop, featuring energetic vocals, a snappy beat, and vibrant keys. Jess Glynne’s powerful voice adds a summery touch reminiscent of Moloko’s 1999 hit “Sing It Back,” with catchy lyrics like “Summer’s back, it goes so fast, we’ll make it last, when it’s you and me.”

ALOK has had an impressive 2024, with a record-setting performance in Brazil and successful singles like “Deep In Your Love” with Bebe Rexha. He also kicked off a Las Vegas residency and announced his ‘ÁUREA Tour’ in Brazil. Beyond music, ALOK continues his humanitarian efforts with the ALOK Foundation and his project “The Future Is Ancestral,” supporting indigenous communities.

“I always loved this song and its upbeat and bouncy melody, it’s  a classic and timeless, and I feel honored to recreate it for a new generation of music fans today.

Working with Jess was amazing, her vocals sound incredible, and I can’t wait to see the reaction the song gets this summer when I play it at the festivals. I hope it brings so much fun to everyone and they will dance and create many new memories of summer.” – ALOK

Jess Glynne, the first British female solo artist with seven UK number ones, returns with this collaboration following her successful albums I Cry When I Laugh and Always in Between. Her recent album, JESS, includes hits like “Easy” and “Friend of Mine,” adding to her 10 billion worldwide streams.

When speaking on her collaboration with ALOK, Jess celebrates the nostalgia she felt working on the single, drawing parallels to her chart-topping song “Hold My Hand”:

“It brings me so much joy when people say that ‘Hold My Hand’ reminds them of summer. There’s no better feeling than having a song that makes you reminisce on good times. So here’s another one that I hope people can enjoy this summer! Thank you ALOK, for having me on this track.” – Jess Glynne
