The guys join forces for a monstrous collab through Black Book Records/Astralwerks, available on April 26.

The electronic music scene receives a scintillating gift as GRAMMY®-nominated sensation Chris Lake and UK-based DJ/producer Sammy Virji unveil their latest collaboration, “Summertime Blues,” featuring the soulful vocals of Nathan Nicholson. Released today, Friday, April 26 via Black Book Records/Astralwerks, this track promises to be the anthem of the impending summer season.

Nicholson’s poignant lyrics, “Memories are useless, I’ve gotta let ‘em go,” set the emotional tone, urging listeners to embrace the present moment. As his voice resonates with sincerity, Lake and Virji craft a dynamic, propulsive beat that pulses with infectious energy. It’s a fusion of melancholic introspection and euphoric celebration, a juxtaposition that defines the essence of “Summertime Blues.”

Chris Lake’s recent accolades speak volumes about his prowess in the industry. With a string of chart-topping hits and a billion combined global streams, his influence on the dance music landscape is undeniable. Meanwhile, Sammy Virji emerges as a pioneer of the UKG renaissance, earning praise and recognition from industry giants like Spotify, Radio 1, and Beatportal.

Nathan Nicholson, known for his role as the frontman of indie-alt band The Boxer Rebellion, brings his distinctive vocal style to “Summertime Blues,” infusing it with raw emotion and depth. His collaboration history reads like a who’s who of electronic music, showcasing his versatility and talent.

As festival season begins, “Summertime Blues” is poised to dominate dancefloors, DJ sets, and stages worldwide. It’s more than just a song; it’s a sonic journey that captures the essence of summertime euphoria. With its infectious beats and heartfelt lyrics, this gem between Chris Lake, Sammy Virji, and Nathan Nicholson serves as the soundtrack to your unforgettable summer moments.

It was also just announced that Chris Lake will bring his Black Book on the Pier in Brooklyn, New York this summer. Find more info and grab your tickets, here.

“I’m so happy I got to work on this track with Sammy and Nathan. I’ve loved their music and vibes for a while. I’m super proud of how ‘Summertime Blues’ turned out. We wanted a drop that felt like the warmth of sunshine and that’s how it makes me feel.” – Chris Lake

“Really excited to get ‘Summertime Blues’ out there, was great to work with Chris and Nathan on the single – so gassed for everyone to hear how it turned out.” – Sammy Virji
