    Algoriddim Unveils djay Pro 5.0

The major update includes next-generation Neural Mix™, Crossfader Fusion™, and Fluid Beatgrid™.

Algoriddim has released a major update to its Apple Design Award-winning djay app on iOS, iPadOS, and macOS, featuring the next generation of its groundbreaking Neural Mix™ technology.

This major update – free for existing djay users – also features Algoriddim’s new patented Crossfader Fusion™ technology, enabling seamless morphing of tracks through real-time deconstruction of music and the intelligent application of filters and effects. Additionally, the update introduces Fluid Beatgrid™, an advanced beat and tempo matching engine, facilitating seamless transitions across a wide spectrum of musical genres and varying tempos.

Originally introduced in 2020, Algoriddim’s Neural Mix™ technology allowed DJs for the first time to isolate individual instruments and vocals of any song in real time. In order to take this to the next level within djay Pro 5, Algoriddim has joined forces with AudioShake, the industry leader in music source separation, to unveil the next generation of Neural Mix.

“We’re excited to introduce djay Pro 5, a significant update that marks a new chapter in the evolution of music mixing,” said Karim Morsy, CEO of Algoriddim. “Collaborating with AudioShake has been an absolute pleasure. Combining our unique expertise enabled us to develop exclusive new DJ technologies and elevate Neural Mix to an unprecedented level of quality and performance. The transformation of the crossfader, coupled with cutting-edge beat detection, create a DJing experience like never before.”

“Fitting large AI models onto devices, in real-time, and without a loss in quality, is a big technical challenge – one made particularly difficult with audio, where the sound needs to be separated in high resolution,” said Jessica Powell, CEO of AudioShake. “We’re thrilled to partner with Algoriddim to bring our industry-leading stem separation technology to the rich functionality of the djay platform.”

The latest features in djay Pro were developed through close collaboration with top-tier artists such as World DJ Champion and turntablist, DJ Angelo.

“I love where DJing came from but I’m even more excited about where it’s headed and being part of its evolution.” commented DJ Angelo, World DJ champion. “In quite possibly the biggest leap forward yet, the new tech in djay Pro is game-changing for all DJs and will undoubtedly inspire brand new ways to mix music and perform creatively. The crossfader has always been a crucial element of how I perform, but thanks to Crossfader Fusion, I’m now able to completely expand my capabilities as a performer and execute techniques that I never thought would be possible.”

    Next-generation Neural Mix™: Ultra-high-quality music source separation

Following years of R&D, the engineering teams of AudioShake and Algoriddim have worked in close collaboration to embed AudioShake’s award-winning source separation technology into djay Pro 5, setting new standards in performance and sound quality. Neural Mix will now deliver AudioShake’s crisp vocals, perfectly separated instruments, and snappy drums, while marking a significant breakthrough in performance, allowing it to even run on mobile devices.

Crossfader Fusion™: A modern twist on a classic DJ tool

With djay Pro 5 the traditional crossfader gets a modern twist with Algoriddim’s patented Crossfader Fusion™ technology. This new feature provides a collection of powerful transition presets with smart behaviors and finely-tuned automation curves assigned to the crossfader. Whether mixing open format or electronic music genres, Crossfader Fusion™ adds an extra layer of control and artistry to mixes, enabling smooth blending or dramatic changes in sound when transitioning between tracks with a simple slide of the crossfader.

Fluid Beatgrid™: The most sophisticated beat matching system yet

Addressing a common pain point for DJs dealing with fluctuating tempos, Algoriddim has introduced Fluid Beatgrid™ technology in djay Pro 5.0. Capable of instantly analysing and predicting the structure of any song, this dynamic grid system follows every tempo fluctuation and interruption in the beat. Fluid Beatgrid™ automatically detects and adjusts to varying tempo and rhythmic changes within a song, ensuring beats are always locked in perfect harmony. This facilitates seamless beat-matching, making complex transitions easier and more accurate, especially for genres with fluctuating tempos. Rather than laboriously editing beat grids manually, DJs can now beat-match any type of songs together, making complex transitions easier and more accurate, regardless of their rhythmic structure.

In addition to the groundbreaking features mentioned, djay Pro 5 brings a UI refresh and countless improvements for iOS, iPadOS, and macOS users. The introduction of a brand-new Starter Mode will appeal to new users, offering a streamlined layout without sacrificing the app’s powerful performance tools.

Algoriddim’s djay is available as a free download on the App Store. The optional Pro subscription for $6.99 per month or $49.99 per year offers full access to all features of djay Pro across Mac, iPad, and iPhone. A free 7-day trial of the full Pro subscription is available.
