Tale Of Us Brings Afterlife Label to Interscope, Anyma Teams With Grimes on Debut Album’s Lead Single

One half of Tale Of Us, Anyma, will release his highly-anticipated debut album with lead single alongside Grimes.

Interscope Records announced today (Thurs., June 8) that they will be partnering with eclectic electronic music duo Tale Of Us on their internationally recognized Afterlife label imprint. As part of their partnership, globally-acclaimed Interscope will distribute all Afterlife releases, which includes not only it’s upcoming releases but also its celebrated catalog.

Tale Of Us, which is made up of members Carmine Conte (MRAK) and Matteo Milleri (Anyma), have been a rising force within the electronic music and festival circuits. Coinciding with the label partnership also comes the announcement of Anyma’s debut album, set for release on Interscope later this year. Additionally, Anyma has just unveiled the lead single from his forthcoming LP, “Welcome To The Opera,” alongside frequent collaborator Grimes.

“Interscope Records is a natural partner to help continue our vision and journey,” said Milleri (Anyma).

“Over their tremendous careers as artists and label owners, Carmine and Matteo have helped shape dance music culture for an entire generation,” said John Janick, Chairman and CEO of  Interscope Geffen A&M. “We are excited to collaborate with them to bring their music to an even larger global audience.”

A&R Executive Ryan Roy who was instrumental in bringing the duo to Interscope said: “Carmine and Matteo have made their distinctive mark in music both as artists and as label owners. Working with them on all of their future recordings as well as with the amazing artists on Afterlife is a massive honor for us.”

Since their inception in 2008, Tale Of Us have been consistently building as a duo and evolving their Afterlife vision. Fast forward to present day, Afterlife recently sold out three consecutive shows at The Brooklyn Mirage in 30 minutes, a feat unmatched by another artist in many years. Following the number one selling residency in Ibiza in 2022, Tale Of Us returns to Hï Ibiza for a weekly residency this summer, kicking off in June. The pair also achieved the third-largest attendance at the Sahara Tent during Coachella 2023, which is a testament to their rising success and global appeal.
