Louis The Child Begins New Era With “Daybreak” Alongside Zachary Knowles on Interscope

Kicking off a new era of music, Louis The Child & Zachary Knowles release “Daybreak” through Interscope Records.

It’s been a decade since Chicago-based duo Louis The Child first exploded onto the scene. Freddy Kennett and Robby Hauldren, best known as Louis The Child, are setting out to embark on the latest chapter of their career with their newest original. Together along with Zachary Knowles, Louis The Child releases “Daybreak” through Interscope Records, available worldwide today, Friday, May 19.

Louis The Child has built a stellar reputation within the electronic music scene over the last 10 years. Boasting a noteworthy discography, their repertoire consists of dance hits, such as “Better Not” with Wafia, “It’s Strange,” “Free” with Drew Love, “So What” with A R I Z O N A, “Little Things” with Quinn XCII & Chelsea Cutler, and “Passion,” among others. The guys have also delivered on official remixes for the likes of The Chainsmokers, Death Cab For Cutie, Elohim, Miiike Snow, Kaskade, Ty Dolla $ign, The Knocks, and more.

On “Daybreak,” Louis The Child partner with Zachary Knowles to launch a new era of music in their career — and we’re already enjoying the chilled-out version of LTC. Already shining through with “Daybreak,” Louis The Child strips things down to a more laidback, summertime vibe, which certainly still embodies elements of their signature sound they’ve garnered such recognition for. A stellar vocal performance from Knowles on “Daybreak” is a refreshingly smooth, dance anthem with mainstream elements. This dreaminess is a stark contrast from Louis The Child’s most recent project, Black Marble.

Louis The Child says about the track, “We’re stoked to share “Daybreak” with you and kick off a new era of music! It’s a big windows-down summertime vibe, we hope you enjoy it :)”

On August 19, Louis The Child presents Alter-Ego at the famed Brooklyn Mirage, part of Avant Gardner in Brooklyn. Also taking over the Great Hall is Space Yacht, as well as stand-up comedy & live improv in Kings Hall. The Brooklyn Mirage will include a covers set from Blonde Maze, a debut set from Chromebodies, a house party set from The Knocks, Louis The Child will be going b2b alongside a surprise guest, Snakehips will provide a bassline garage set, Dr. Fresch b2b Moksi will perform, Louis The Child are also set to play a Black Marble set, Pauline Herr is on classic trap set duty, and Dot will provide a jungle set. Pre-sale tickets for Alter Ego will be available on Tuesday, May 23rd at 10am ET. General on-sale will be on Wednesday, May 24th at 10am ET and can be purchased HERE.

In addition to their Mirage showcase, Louis The Child are slated to play summer festivals, including Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival, Lollapalooza, and Moonrise Festival, as well as two shows this September 23rd and September 24th at Red Rocks Amphitheatre. While the first show is already sold-out, tickets for the September 24th show are on-sale now and can be purchased HERE.
