Across three days, EDC Las Vegas returned to Paradise, NV for another memorable edition to celebrate Insomniac’s 30th anniversary.
From Friday, May 19 through Sunday, May 21, Electric Daisy Carnival made a grand return to the Las Vegas Motor Speedway. As one of the largest electronic music festivals in the world – and perhaps the biggest in the US – EDC Las Vegas is an annual staple within the dance music community. Preaching and enforcing a “P.L.U.R.” (Peace, Love, Unity, Respect) mentality, the 3-day event brings over 500,000 attendees to a neon city within Sin City, just miles from the Vegas Strip.
As hundreds of thousands of likeminded festivalgoers gathered Under the Electric Sky this past weekend, the now camping experience at the Speedway is one like no other. Running from sunset to sunrise, the dusk ‘till dawn experience of EDC Las Vegas is just another reason the colossal event is so different from others of its kind. Another year of unparalleled production, pyrotechnics, fireworks shows each night, over-the-top production, breathtaking stage designs, and let’s not forget about all of the music.
Some of the highlights from this year’s EDC Las Vegas 2023 included the unveiling of the kineticFIELD, which was dubbed the kineticAWAKENING this year, where sets from Armin van Buuren, Tiësto, Galantis, Zedd, Marshmello, and more, could be heard all weekend long. A redesigned circuitGROUNDS was home to memorable sets from Above & Beyond, Kaskade, a surprise set from John Summit (who also played a bit b2b with Subtronics), Afrojack, ACRAZE, and many more. From the countless art cars with surprise sets across the three days to the art installations, EDC is more than just a music festival; EDC is a one-of-a-kind experience.
Festival organizers, Insomniac Events, and their founder, Pasquale Rotella, are celebrating their 30th anniversary with milestone events. In addition to EDC Las Vegas, Insomniac are also responsible for a plethora of other branded events, including EDC Orlando, EDC Mexico, HARD Summer, Nocturnal Wonderland, Day Trip, Beyond Wonderland, Escape Halloween, Electric Forest, Life Is Beautiful, Dreamstate, Lost In Dreams, Basscon, Holy Ship!, III Points, Factory 93, Okeechobee, Countdown, Boo!, and more.
