John Summit Drops “Where You Are” With Hayla via Off The Grid/Darkroom Records

John Summit releases his anticipated new single, “Where You Are” with Hayla through Off The Grid/Darkroom Records on Friday, March 3.

One of dance music’s biggest rising stars, John Summit, has just signed with Darkroom/Interscope Records, as he brings his Off The Grid imprint to the UMG powerhouse. One of his first steps as a new member of the Interscope family: release his much-anticipated single, “Where You Are” with UK’s own Hayla.

John Summit shared his thoughts on the new release: “When I first premiered ‘Where You Are’ at the LA Coliseum, I was absolutely stunned by the reaction it received and I knew right away this track would be something special. Every time I play it out it’s easily the most powerful track in my sets and I truly feel like it’s my best record to date.”

Hayla also beautifully sums up the inspiration behind the track: “This track encapsulates the feeling of longing. When you’re alone at night tossing and turning wondering about the other person and if they’re alone, or with someone else, or missing you, unable to sleep too. Hoping that your bond is strong enough to pull you back together and wondering if they ever feel as good alone or with someone else as they do when they’re with you. The deep down feeling … I wanna be where you are.”

Over the past few years, John Summit has been on an upward trajectory, paying his dues and proving himself and his expertise – even to the non-believers. John has an eclectic sound and repertoire, allowing him to often diversify his DJ sets and build an assorted discography. Once an accountant by day, the now electronic music mainstay not only became known for his musical talent, but his over-the-top personality and witty sense of humor, especially on his social media channels.

Prior to the awaited release of “Where You Are” with Hayla, John Summit has become known for tracks like “Deep End,” “Human” ft. Echoes, “La Danza,” “In Chicago,” “Sun Came Up” with SOFI TUKKER, “Better Than This,” “What A Life” ft. Stevie Appleton, “Make Me Feel,” and his remix alongside Vintage Culture of “Drinkee” by SOFI TUKKER.
