One DJ asks: “Is speaking on a phone no longer a thing for businesses? Have we gone solely to email and/or text messaging? I didn’t get the memo! When I visit a vendor’s website, I’m finding only a contact form page to fill in or an email address, but no phone number. I’m still using (and answering) my phone for business calls! Am I the only one, still?
Darrin Johnson: It’s sad that the world would rather be so cold as to only rely on email or a web site yet everyday in the news more people are shot or stabbed did you ever just think is we TALKED to one another then just maybe the world would start to get a little better. Look at all the impacts of the pandemic you see that without people inter action then we are all just a little bit more lonely. Just my thoughts but what can i say i like talking on the phone or just hanging out talking with folks.
Bryan Pennington: I opened a new business in 2020 and we do not offer information inquiries other than social media private message, email or text. This policy has already saved me one misunderstanding with a client that got the date wrong.
Jonathon Page: No joke. 400+ events a year and I speak to probably 30 a year on the phone The rest is text.
Jonathan Sawdust Novick: I always prefer a real conversation to text or email. However, much of my daily business is international so email dominates. But when it is important, I do Zoom or Teams meetings at all hours of the day or night.
Paul Andrews: I make it a point to have a phone conversation. I will not just text or email a price. If we can’t talk, I walk.
