After a decade of chart-topping hits and genre-bending creativity, Marshmello is igniting a bold new era for Joytime Collective with the launch of Jumpstart Vol. 1. The forward-thinking compilation series sets out to spotlight the future of electronic music. Leading the charge is NYC-born, Florida-raised producer KILLMATTER, whose explosive new single “BALENCIAGA BARBIE” is available now.
Built on breakbeat momentum and futuristic club textures, “BALENCIAGA BARBIE” captures the chaotic beauty of the Miami nightlife scene in under three minutes. “I was driven to make something fast-paced to resemble the lifestyle in Miami while still captivating the trap sound,” says KILLMATTER. “I think the world needs more crossovers and blending of genres.”
Known for his experimental approach and raw storytelling, KILLMATTER’s rise through the underground has been marked by a fearless blend of bass, emotion, and distortion, as showcased in his debut EP DON’T EAT THE FRUIT. With “BALENCIAGA BARBIE,” he continues that trajectory, now under the Joytime umbrella.
