Electronic Artist Cari Lekebusch Teams With Chroma To Launch EZPZ

Electronic artist Cari Lekebusch joins forces with Nordic audio-visual startup Chroma to launch groundbreaking app, EZPZ.

EZPZ, a groundbreaking app that allows users to “doodle” with sounds with their fingertips and play with music, has just been announced today by Nordic audio-visual start-up, Chroma, and trailblazing electronic artist, Cari Lekebusch.

The launch of EZPZ marks a new class of dynamic sound experience where users can seamlessly blend music-making and visual art on their phones for an unprecedented creative experience. EZPZ is an intuitive and easy-to-use app that lets users make music with sound brushes created by Lekebusch. The app requires no background in music production or musical knowledge, making it accessible to anyone. It is not just a new way of creating music, but also a new way of distributing it. Imagine EZPZ as an album release chopped up into fragments you can play with.

Lekebusch has sustained a career spanning over thirty years by exploring new sounds and pushing boundaries. He is one of the figureheads of the globally influential Swedish techno scene and has spawned internationally recognized names such as Adam Beyer, Alexi Delano, and Aril Brikha. The idea of being able to “doodle with sound” has always been in the back of Lekebusch’s mind, and he is delighted to bring it to life with Chroma. He is passionate about creating accessible tools to engage with image and sound, and EZPZ represents a natural progression of trends, showcasing how technology is reshaping the way music is released and enjoyed.

Cari Lekebusch comments: “Ever since I was a kid, I’ve been fascinated by art—painting, graffiti, any way of expressing creativity visually—and dreamed of combining it with my passion for music. EZPZ creates a space for an unprecedented, engaging way for fans to explore and interact with my music; it’s not a record, an MP3 or a digital stream, but an audio-visual experience that allows the listeners to also be creative. The idea of being able to doodle with sound has always been in the back of my mind, and I am so happy to be able to bring it to life with Chroma.”

Andreas Pihlstrom, CEO, and founder of Chroma, reveals, “We’re excited to be part of this arc of technological development, providing a new digital method for exploring what music means in the 21st century. EZPZ gives anybody with a smartphone an opportunity to create music, enabling professionals and music lovers alike to play with sound for a dynamic experience”.

It’s not just a record, an MP3, or a stream, but an audio-visual experience that also lets listeners  be creative. Users can play with sound to build elaborate sonic patterns and unique melodies, making expressing creativity “easy peasy.”
