The first lineup teaser for Detroit’s Movement Festival 2023 has been announced with Underworld, Charlotte De Witte, Caribou, Dom Dolla B2B John Summit, and more.

Detroit — which for electronic music enthusiasts is quite often referred to as the mecca of techno — presents their annual showcase, Movement Festival. Spanning across Memorial Day Weekend, May 27-29, 2023, the 3-day Detroit Movement Festival will be hosted inside of Hart Plaza, located at downtown Detroit’s riverfront.

The producers of the Movement Music Festival, Paxahau, has recently announced the first phase of this year’s festivities. A lineup teaser for the books, this year’s event brings a much-anticipated debut and headline performance from British electronic music powerhouse duo Underworld, as well as the Belgian techno sensation, Charlotte de Witte.

Each year, Movement Festival is dedicated to offering a unique experience for all attendees, placing emphasis on showcasing authentic and diverse lineups that provide an experience that is purely about the music and culture. In addition to the festival headliners this year, notable first-time artists on the bill include Swedish-born DJ Seinfeld, UK breakout producer TSHA, Brooklyn-based Ela Minus, Italian live techno artist Giorgia Angiuli, Philadelphia-born and Berlin-based LSDXOXO, and more. Additionally, the initial lineup teaser boasts the likes of Caribou, Louie Vega and Kenny Dope as Masters At Work, Robert Hood (live), Carl Craig, Green Velvet, Chris Liebing, Dom Dolla B2B John Summit, and Detroit-favorite, Moodymann, among others.
