The Movement Music Festival, one of America’s best electronic-music events, returns from a three-year hiatus to the Motor City this Memorial Day weekend. Presented by Paxahau, the festival will run Saturday, May 28, thru Monday night, May 30, at Hart Plaza and will feature some of the globe’s top electronic talents.
Saturday, May 28 performers include: Richie Hawtin; 2 Chainz; Carl Craig; Derrick Carter; Seth Troxler; and Claud VonStroke. Sunday, May 29 performers include: Adam Beyer; James Murphy b2b Carl Craig; Juan Atkins; Loco Dice; 2manydjs; and MK. Monday, May 30 performers include: Jeff Mills; Chris Lake; The Martinez Brothers; Goldie b2b LTJ Bukem feat. Armanni Reign; Flying Lotus, Gorgon City; and GRiZ.
DJ LIFE mag will be there, taking it all in, visiting with exhibiting manufacturers like Pioneer DJ and retailers like Sweetwater Sound – and hitting some of the weekend’s legendary afterparties. They include:
Movement Official Launch Party – Body & Soul All Night Long
Held at Spot Lite, this legendary party will feature the classic DJ combo: François K, Danny Krivit and Joe Claussell. Running 8 pm to 2 am, this event will feature a wide variety of dancefloor flavors – from garage to Afro-house, from techno to disco. And if you’ve never seen Mr. Claussell manically working the EQs, you’re in for a treat. Tickets here.

Soul Clap’s House of EFUNK Detroit 2022
Get ready to shake that booty at TV Lounge with Crew Love in the house. Soul Clap and a parade of talent like Todd Edwards, Stacey Pullen, Derrick Carter and Stacey “Hotwaxx” Hale and more will get the groove going in a big way. Tickets here.

Movement Official Afterparty – DJ Minx & Friends
