[Exclusive] ARMNHMR Breakdown New “Waiting For Love” EP

When it comes to the world of melodic bass music, ARMNHMR has paved their own way into the spotlight with a steady barrage of strikingly beautiful productions since popping onto the scene back in 2015 with their latest offering being their 5-track, Waiting For Love EP.

Showcasing their production prowess with each release serving up whimsical soundscapes, booming bass, anthemic melodies alongside angelic vocals, the duo have always been ones to wear their hearts on their sleeves when it comes to their emotionally-charged tunes which continue to resonate with electronic dance music fans across the globe.

After dropping a couple of singles awe-inspiring singles, their latest body of work was released to the world being a masterfully crafted love letter to those that battled loneliness during the pandemic and has immediately become a beloved fan favorite.

Check out ARMNHMR’s breakdown of their new Waiting For Love EP below and enjoy!

ARMNHMR shares, “‘Waiting For Love’ is a message about trust and patience. Sometimes we get lost in our own fantasies of how love should find us. It’s a song about putting faith not only in yourself, but in the people that come in and out of your life. Sometimes we become so entrenched in authoring our own ending, that more often than not, love eventually finds us in the most unexpected moments.”

The duo added, “We think animation and Asian culture are very closely intertwined with each other. While the artwork is not specific to an animated series, it was definitely inspired by our childhood identity! We look forward to this new branding direction and are very excited to bring our roots along the way.”

ARMNHMR ft. neverwaves – Waiting For Love

“’Waiting For Love’ is about the contentment and acceptance of yourself. It’s about the individual soul and the value of knowing your worth. However, the back of your mind recognizes that companionship only colors the journey. Memories are meant to be shared. The song is about wanting love, but not necessarily needing it. It’s about having faith in the mechanics of the universe and knowing that one day it’ll come – just not right now.”

ARMNHMR ft. Bella Renee – Saving Lives

“‘Saving Lives’ is a song about the heartbreak of unreciprocated love. Relationships are not always equal and this track is about the love lost in that imbalance. Sometimes prioritizing the happiness of others results in the loss of your own.

ARMNHMR ft. RUNN – Falling Apart

“We first started the process of writing ‘Falling Apart’ around the middle of the pandemic. The entire world was going through an introspective period and the song was our way of expressing ourselves. “Falling Apart” is about understanding vulnerability and about just wanting to be supported. Many of us are not looking for someone to fix our issues, or even to be our foundation. Sometimes we just want somebody to be there when we’re at our worst.”

ARMNHMR & Abandoned ft. RYNN – Can’t Let You Go

“‘Can’t Let You Go’ is about finding that soul that just gets you. It’s about the person in your life you instantly resonate with. We wanted to embody that instantaneous connection that’s made when you’re around that person who just gets you.”

ARMNHMR, Synymata & Medyk – Lonely Nights

“‘Lonely Nights’ is a song about the struggles of isolation. It’s about the deep spiral that accompanies loneliness — and the fantasies we make in order as a way to cope. We wanted to capture the despondent feeling and the tendencies to sulk in its misery. It’s in those dark moments you just want to see some sort of light.”
