Thursday, August 8, Twitch will officially launch its new DJ category, celebrating with a 24-hour worldwide livestream featuring DJs from across the world including Aluna, BAYNK, Sam Feldt, and Sofi Tukker – including Zedd as headliner, where he’ll play brand new music Live on 8.08 from Brooklyn, NY.
This event marks an important moment for Twitch and the music industry, as together, they’ve broken down barriers that have hindered DJ’s abilities to share music and connect with fans from around the world. Historically, DJs have been at risk of takedowns, bans, muted content, etc. Now, Twitch is committed to building a home for DJs on the internet.
