The 11-track LP is due for release on Sept. 27 along with a slew of upcoming tour dates.

Award-winning electronic music artist Ben Böhmer is set to release his first new studio album in three years, titled Bloom. The announcement comes alongside the debut of his new single, “Best Life,” featuring Berlin-based duo JONAH, and details of an 8-stop live tour through the UK and Europe this fall. Bloom is scheduled for release on September 27 via Ninja Tune.

Following a record-breaking world tour for his previous album, where all dates sold out months in advance, Böhmer returned to his studio, a place where he can fully immerse himself in spontaneous creativity. His earlier works, including the breakthrough debut album Breathing and the 2021 follow-up Begin Again, explored themes of grief and separation. Despite achieving nearly 1 billion streams and playing over 200 shows in 2022, Böhmer felt compelled to realign with his true artistic desires.

Bloom represents this reset. It’s a confident reassertion of his artistic vision, drawing from more improvisational roots. This new album encapsulates his growth and the joyful pursuit of newness that continually draws him back to his studio. The first single, “Best Life,” reflects on the rollercoaster of trying, failing, and cherishing memories of irreplaceable moments. As JONAH puts it, “Life is short and fast… ‘Best Life’ is all about that rollercoaster ride of trying, failing, and a reminder of the importance of living each moment to the fullest.”

Musically, Bloom marks a bold new direction for Böhmer. The album features collaborations with renowned artists including Lykke Li, Oh Wonder, and Enfant Sauvage of The Blaze, showcasing a variety of styles and tempos that signal his evolution as an artist.

To support the album release, Böhmer will embark on a fall tour with stops at iconic venues including Alexandra Palace in London, Albert Hall in Manchester, Adidas Arena in Paris, and The Palladium in Cologne. This tour follows his appearances at major festivals such as Sonar, Electric Forest, Lollapalooza, and Portola, along with performances supporting ODESZA at notable venues like BMO Stadium in Los Angeles, the Gorge Amphitheatre in Washington, and Madison Square Garden in New York City.

Ben Böhmer’s music and live performances have garnered widespread acclaim, reaching 3 million monthly Spotify listeners and achieving over 32 million views on his Cercle set on YouTube. Having shared stages with artists like Caribou, Four Tet, Jamie xx, and Amelie Lens, and hosting his residency at Ibiza’s Cova Santa, Böhmer continues to make a significant impact in the electronic music scene.
