Today is the big day! Kaskade and deadmau5‘s new collaborative project Kx5 has come to life with the release of the debut single as a duo coming in the form of “Escape.”
Being their fourth collaboration together, the Kx5 era begins with a simply stunning tune which is driven by delicate piano chords and Hayla’s radiant vocal offering alongside the electric dance titans impeccable production delivering a haunting soundscape that is cut from the cloth of their timeless classic “I Remember.”
There is a clear cohesiveness between both “I Remember” and “Escape,” it could certainly be setting the tone for what’s to come from Kx5 in the near future. Plus, their live performance debut which is set to take place at EDC Las Vegas this year should also give the dance music a lethal dose of what they’ve been cooking up in the studio.
