Quietly having themselves a monstrous 2021, the Scandinavian duo Pegboard Nerds has returned to Monstercat for their sixth consecutive release this year with the release of “Million Reasons” featuring Gunnva.
After unleashing a steady barrage of heavy-hitting dubstep tunes, this time around they’ve switched things up showcasing the versatility once again with a melodic bass beauty fueled by upbeat lyrics which tell the relatable story of ignoring the red flags in a relationship just because everything feels right.
Pegboard Nerds share, “We spotted the acappella in a private playlist, loved the sound of Gunnva’s voice as well as the melody, and instantly knew we could do something with it. We got in touch with the team, received the vocals, produced the track and that’s that! We wanted to do a pop-oriented, listening-friendly song and deliberately avoided any crazy drop sections.”
