The 11-track LP takes listeners on an intergalactically-fused, cohesive dance music journey from start to finish.

Kasablanca, one of dance music’s freshest rising duos, has released their latest album, Higher Resolution (Side A) through Above & Beyond’s famed Anjunabeats label. The spacey and intergalactic-inspired intro, “init,” makes way for what’s to come as part of the 11-track Higher Resolution (Side A) LP.

The LP continues with the big and bass-heavy “Terminal Feeling,” which still manages to keep its subtleties at the forefront. The journey continues with the album’s title track, “Higher Resolution,” which is an uplifting progressive gem that’s full of starry notes and soaring riffs along with a piano break that’s sure to cut right to your deepest emotions. From early on, Kasablanca does a fantastic job of making the listener feel more deeply and connect more strongly, transporting them into an otherworldly realm of electronic music.

Higher Resolution is a cohesive journey, an artistic creation, and a truly well-crafted album, in the truest sense of the word. Collaborative tracks like “Daydream” with anamē and the previously released “Remission” with Lane 8 are truly album standout tracks. “Kosmos” is a soaring, trance-meets-house anthem that showcases their artistic range and diversity, before closing with the aptly suited “inner_mission.” We’re already looking forward to Side B, as the album closes with “now flip the tape over to side B and let’s continue…”

There are tracks that pull inspiration from the likes of Daft Punk, Underworld, Chromeo, The Prodigy, and even Eric Prydz, to name a few, but the guys do a fine job at paying homage to some of dance music’s most iconic sounds in a tasteful and reinventive way. The transitions on Higher Resolution are well executed and help tell the story that Kasablanca is trying to convey – and one thing’s for certain… it works. And it works well.

Kasablanca heads out on their Higher Resolution Album Tour on Oct. 12th across North American markets. Fans can get tickets and more information HERE.
