This innovative digital project uses Intel Core Ultra processors to transform the track into an immersive visual journey.

The Mayda Creative Co., in partnership with Universal Music Group For Brands (UMGB), Zedd, and Intel, has launched a groundbreaking AI-powered interactive music video experience for Zedd’s single “Lucky” featuring Remi Wolf. This innovative digital project uses Intel Core Ultra processors to transform the track into an immersive visual journey. “Lucky,” the second single from Zedd’s upcoming album Telos, which drops on August 30, 2024, marks his first release in nearly a decade.

The “Lucky AI Listening Experience” personalizes the interaction using motion tracking and facial recognition, allowing users’ gestures to influence the visual experience. As the song plays, a unique AI model generates a self-portrait in the stained-glass style of the album’s artwork, enhancing the connection between fans and the music. This collaboration redefines fan engagement, moving beyond passive listening to active participation, and explores new ways to merge music with cutting-edge technology.

“We’re not just creating a listening experience, we’re expanding the very concept of what music can be,” said Carl Addy, Executive Creative Director at Mayda. “This project opens up exciting new possibilities for how artists can share their work and how fans can engage with it. We’re turning a single song into an entire interactive universe.”

Lydia Corin, Director of Creative Partnerships at Mayda, added, “At Mayda, we are constantly exploring innovative collaborations that enhance brand expression. Our diverse skill set gives us the tools to tackle unique opportunities such as this project with UMGB, Zedd and Intel, where we’ve combined creativity, technology and music to create something truly groundbreaking”

This collaboration showcases the potential of AI in enhancing creative processes and reimagining how fans engage with music. The experience leverages advanced AI technology to create a personalized journey for each user, blending audio and visual elements in a way never before seen in the music industry.

Richard Yaffa, EVP of Universal Music Group For Brands said, “This project showcases our commitment to ethical AI. We are harnessing AI’s potential responsibly, enhancing creativity and fan engagement while respecting artist integrity and user privacy. It sets a new standard for AI use in music.”

“The thought behind the AI Digital Experience powered by Intel is to help there be a visual connection to the music that I’ve created. I really love the idea of fans being able to experience a highly personalized music video as if it’s their own version of the music.” – Zedd

The “Lucky AI Listening Experience” represents a significant step forward in the intersection of music, technology, and fan engagement. The AI-generated self-portrait in the style of ZEDD’s single artwork was built using ethically trained models, in partnership with Bria and Adobe Firefly using licensed copyrighted materials.
