Just days ahead of this Sunday’s Super Bowl in Las Vegas, Tiësto has canceled as the first-ever in-game DJ citing a family emergency.

With just days to go before the big game day hits the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas for Super Bowl LVIII, Tiësto has unfortunately had to cancel his appearance.

Slated to be the first-ever in-game DJ for the Super Bowl, Tiësto shared the following statement today (Thursday, February 8):

“Me and my team have been preparing something truly special for months, but a personal family emergency is forcing me to return home Sunday morning. It was a tough decision to miss the game, but family always comes first. Thank you to the @NFL for the collaboration and looking forward to working with them to deliver something incredible together in the future !”

LA-based DJ and producer Kaskade has just announced through social media that he will now be taking over as the first-ever in-game DJ for the Super Bowl.
