As he begins his next chapter of music, Surf Mesa releases his new single “Manzanita” through Astralwerks.

It’s the beginning of a new chapter for Surf Mesa who released his brand-new single “Manzanita” on Friday, June 23 through Astralwerks. “Manzanita” is a melodic, uplifting, and mellow record that’s got a summertime feel. Written along with Elsa Søllesvik and Benji Alasu and recorded in LA, “Manzanita” is a textural house record which places production at the forefront. Embracing the instrumental side of his musical spectrum, “Manzanita” follows recent singles “City Of Love” with Selah Sol, “State Of My Heart” with Nat Dunn, and “Marching Band” with NITTI. Previously, after his viral hit “ily (i love you baby)” ft. Emilee, he then released “Carried Away (Love To Love)” with Madison Beer, “Somewhere” with Gus Dapperton, and “Another Life” with FLETCHER and Josh Golden.

What’s Surf Mesa been up to since his viral breakout single “ily (i love you baby)” ft. Emilee? Aside from the song becoming a 2x RIAA Platinum certified smash hit and amassing 12+ billion combined streams, Surf Mesa has been growing his discography and performing at some of the biggest venues and festivals across the globe.

Fittingly to coincide with his summery single, Surf Mesa also kicks off a string of residency shows this summer at Encore Beach Club at the Wynn Las Vegas, supporting Marshmello at XS & EBC. Surf previously remixed “Be Kind” by Marshmello & Halsey – and now he’s opening for one of the biggest acts in electronic music at two of Las Vegas’s most prominent venues.

“’Manzanita’ is a track I’ve kept exclusively for the dance floor for a while,” says Surf Mesa. “The texture and atmosphere this song makes me envision a rainforest in the future. It resonates with me so much as I begin my next chapter of music! I’ve been playing this one live for about a year and I’m so glad to finally release it.”— Surf Mesa
