Watch Subtronics & John Summit perform a surprise back-to-back set as SUBJOHNICS at the circuitGROUNDS during EDC Las Vegas 2023.

King of the bass, Subtronics, was one of the most anticipated acts to play EDC Las Vegas 2023. Without question, he certainly delivered — and then some. What fans were not quite expecting was for John Summit to be the surprise guest on the festival lineup. Slated to perform directly after Subtronics at the circuitGROUNDS, the special guest ended up being John Summit. Fans began to catch on early in the day on Sunday, just before Summit was set to take the stage at Hangout Festival in Alabama. Little to their surprise, not only was John the surprise guest at EDC LV, he would also go on to play for over 20 minutes b2b alongside Subtronics.

Together, Subtronics B2B John Summit equals SUBJOHNICS. In a tweet from John Summit today (Thursday, May 25), he simply states, “u asked and we delivered ,” along with links to a YouTube video and SoundCloud post for fans to bask in. Whether you were Under the Electric Sky to experience this dance music moment in person, or are witnessing it for the very first time — one thing’s for certain: SUBJOHNICS is exactly what we needed to kick-start this Memorial Day Weekend into high gear.

What’s coming up soon for the guys? Subtronics will perform a sold-out show at The Brooklyn Mirage on July 20, while John Summit will play two back-to-back dates on June 2 & 3, respectively. John Summit will perform alongside Dom Dolla to play a b2b set during Movement Detroit this Memorial Day Weekend on Monday, May 29.
